CR7 returns to the Red Devils

Manchester United – the Red Devils – confirmed on Friday that Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) is going back to Old Trafford.

It was reported that the English team will cough up €15 million (about R304 268 192.95), with €8 million (about R163 630 983) in add-ons as a fee to Juventus for CR7.

There had been reports that CR7 had been engaged in talks with Manchester City which the club later abandoned.

United subsequently confirmed that the club has reached an agreement with Juventus for Ronaldo’s transfer.

The agreement is “subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical”, the Red Devils said in a statement.

“Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has so far won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.

“In his first spell for Manchester United, he scored 118 goals in 292 games.

“Everyone at the club looks forward to welcoming Cristiano back to Manchester,” United’s statement reads.
